About Ranee

Hi, I’m Ranee.
ranee.pngI am married with two beautiful children, and adore animals—we’re fortunate enough to care for several horses and dogs where we live. Nature and the outdoors are important to me: I love to reconnect with the world around me by taking some time to work in our vegetable patch or roam the green expanse of our five acres of property whenever I can. I have been lecturing in and practicing kinesiology for more than thirteen years, and am also a massage therapist, reflexologist and Jaw R.E.S.E.T. instructor.

My principal background is in children’s day care. For nine years I supervised a home-based childcare centre, catering for up to eight children at a time (you can imagine how long I’ve been toilet training!). During this time I had real insights into early childhood thought, learning and development as well as family and group dynamics. I felt strongly about creating a loving, safe environment for children to thrive and grow, and I’ve carried this passion for nurturing and developing people through into my kinesiology practice.

My childcare work and kinesiology experience has opened up other areas of practice as well—I’ve worked with children and their parents on behavioural issues, physical co-ordination and gross motor skills, learning and cognitive development, allergies and health issues, and the biggest of all for parents … children’s sleep! I’ve also practiced in hospital labor wards with clients.

I particularly love kinesiology because it has changed my whole lifestyle and allowed me to relate to my family in fresh, vibrant ways. It’s also allowed me to work the hours that I want to work, in a job that I absolutely adore.

I regularly update and refresh my skills with new study, and participate in professional development, attending conferences and consulting with other practitioners so that my classes offer the most dynamic and recent work. I work hard to make my teaching fun, welcoming and transformational.

My previous clients are diverse. I have been lucky enough to work on everyone from Para-Olympians and sports athletes to scientists, artists, the autistic, children and business professionals. I’ve also been fortunate to help to alleviate the suffering of those battling fibromyalgia, cancer and other illnesses.

As you can probably tell, I’m a warm, friendly, family-orientated person, and whether you’re here to book a consultation or embark on one of Bayside Kinesiology’s courses of study, I know you’ll leave enjoying life a whole lot more.
